Constitution of the Furtho Development Objection Group (FDOG)


1. Name


The name of the group shall be the Furtho Development Objection Group (FDOG).


2. Objectives


The objectives of FDOG are:

  • To oppose inappropriate development within the Furtho area.
  • To promote awareness and understanding of planning issues affecting the area.
  • To engage with local authorities and other relevant bodies on matters concerning development.


3. Executive Committee


3.1 Composition


The affairs of the Group shall be managed by an Executive Committee (hereafter referred to as "the Committee") consisting of no fewer than five and no more than nine members. The officers of the Committee shall include:

  • Chairperson
  • Vice Chairperson
  • Secretary
  • Treasurer
  • Up to five additional committee members.


3.2 Appointment


Members of the Committee shall be elected at the Annual General Meeting (AGM). Nominations for the Committee must be made by a proposer and seconder and submitted to the Secretary no less than two weeks before the AGM.


3.3 Responsibilities


The Committee shall:

  • Formulate and implement policies in accordance with the objectives of FDOG.
  • Represent the Group in dealings with local authorities and other organisations.
  • Organise meetings, events, and campaigns.
  • Manage the financial affairs of the Group.


3.4 Meetings


The Committee shall meet at least four times a year. A quorum for Committee meetings shall be one-third of the total number of Committee members.


4. Annual General Meeting (AGM)


The AGM shall be held within three months of the end of the financial year. The Committee shall present reports and accounts for the preceding year. The election of the new Committee shall take place at the AGM.


5. Dissolution


In the event of dissolution, any assets remaining after the satisfaction of all debts and liabilities shall be transferred to a local charitable organization as agreed by the Committee.
